Kaieteur tree planting fund

Kaieteur use this fund to plant trees locally, nationally and internationally, the fund is made up of kaieteur profits and donations.

Our tree planting fund is dedicated to replenishing our dwindling natural woodland here in the UK and abroad with partner organisations. We work locally to promote the planting of trees. We give thousands of trees away complementary with sales of kaieteur products and as promotions. We also work with charities concentrating on saving existing rain forests and replanting where necessary - they work alongside indigenous populations to help achieve this.

We do this by receiving donations, contributions from individuals and corporate bodies offsetting their carbon expenditure and by receiving a percentage of profits from sales in our shop.

The planting of trees leads to so much more than just more trees:

Trees help;

• Protect and nourish soils
• Create building products
• Produce food
• Help to support communities
• Help store carbon
• Look beautiful
• Support huge ecosystems
• Create many symbiotic relationships
• Help stabilise the temperature of large cities
• Improve the value of properties surrounding trees
• Create the future

If humans left the planet or stopped interfering with the natural environment. Trees would naturally reforest the planet. But this is not likely to happen without human intervention.

Nature needs a helping hand to reforest the planet.
